The beauty of the gospel is that it compels you outward.  Just as a compass is an instrument of direction, when Christ captures the heart, he gives direction to your life. When Christ is directing your life, you cannot help but love and serve what God loves and cares about: the needy, the outcast, the broken, the poor, the widow, the alien.

 In 2013 we formed the PWPC Disaster Assistance Ministry. Its mission is to assist those in need due to calamity, natural disaster, or other happening. This ministry is one that we are most-excited about because it is neighbors helping neighbors in times of great stress and need.  This is a team of PWPC men and women outfitted, equipped and mobilized for short term relief efforts both here in Western Palm Beach County and in the South East US.

August 14th marked the three year anniversary of Ruth’s Pantry. We serve 80+ families each week. Each family is given a reusable bag that they are instructed to bring back each time they come. They are encouraged to fill the bag with food their family likes. 

The sign out front has attracted the attention of people in need but also people who want to support the pantry. Those items along with your very generous donations helps keep our shelves stocked. In addition to the non-perishable food, Matthew’s Garden has provided wonderful strawberries, tomatoes, potatoes, beans, egg plants, okra and peppers. We have received fresh eggs, milk and bread from local farmers and businesses. 

Your food donations are greatly appreciated and they can dropped off Mon -Thurs 10 am-12 pm. We can only accept food that has not expired. 

Ruth's Pantry is open each Wednesday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and is open to all. Please bring a current government issued ID.
